ECE Capstone Design Celebration

April 9, 2015 - 11:00 - 16:00

Fred Kaiser Atrium and room 2020/2030, 2332 Main Mall, UBC | Directions here

On April 9th, the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department opens its doors to the public to showcase this year’s cohort of student teams in the 2015 Capstone Design Celebration.  This event marks the finale of the Capstone Design Course which gives small teams of 4th year students the chance to work directly with industry or community, applying their knowledge and innovation to design, build and test solutions for their clients.  This event is a great way to meet our students and see how they solve real-world problems.

Web/mobile applications, power systems, biomedical devices, robotics and communication systems are a few of the technologies showcased each year by the students.  The opportunity to work with the 4th year engineering teams attracted over 100 proposals last year from start-ups, utilities, NGOs and small & large business.

Please join us at our 2015 Capstone Design Celebration!  Details about the event are below.  For more information about how to pitch an idea for the Capstone course, please visit: http://www.ece.ubc.ca/courses/capstones .
