We offer programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering leading to a Bachelor of Applied Science in either of these fields. Students may choose to specialize in Biomedical Engineering, an option in the Electrical Engineering program. Both programs commence in second year after students have met the requirements of first year engineering.
Our undergraduate programs are challenging and attract some of the university's best students. Each year, many students win scholarships and awards. Our student design teams regularly win prizes in regional, national and international design competitions.
Approximately 1130 undergraduate students are enrolled in our undergraduate programs. These programs consist of three eight-month academic sessions either following first year engineering or following a transfer program from first year Science. We admit approximately 230 students into second year.
In both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, students have the opportunity to apply for the Engineering Co-op Program.
Students entering second year of Applied Science must also submit the Faculty of Applied Science Second Year Placement Form. All students need to complete this form no matter what program and option they are choosing. For further information, please contact ECE Student Services in KAIS 2010.
