Professor David Michelson and his former MASc student Simon Chiu have won a Best Paper Award. Their paper entitled “Effect of human presence on UWB radio wave propagation within the passenger cabin of a midsize airliner” was published in the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, vol. 58, no. 3, pp. 917-926, March 2010, and has been selected as the recipient of the 2011 R. W. P. King Award of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society.
