2021 ECE 3 Minute Thesis Heat - Sign Ups Open!
MASc and PhD students are invited to participate in UBCs 2021 Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT). Our ECE heat will take place on February 22nd at 12pm via zoom.
The basic idea of 3MT is that you explain the breadth and significance of your research project to a non-specialist audience in 3 minutes or less using a single slide. More information on the structure of the event can be found here.
In order to participate in our ECE heat, please send an email to help [at] ece [dot] ubc [dot] ca with the subject line "3MT - YOUR NAME", and tell us your program of study (MASC or PhD), and your student number, by February 1st, 2020. The winners from our ECE heat will go on to participate in the university-wide semi-finals competition and will receive the following cash prizes from the ECE department!
- $200 for 3rd place,
- $300 for 2nd place,
- $500 for 1st place!
