UBC’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has large, world-class graduate programs, with currently over 400 graduate students registered. The contributions our graduate students and alumni make are vital to the growth of the Department and to UBC as a whole.
Our ECE Department offers the following Masters degrees: a research-based Masters of Applied Science (MASc), a course-based Masters of Engineering (MEng), and a Masters of Engineering Leadership in Dependable Software Systems (MEL DSS) which combines engineering and business coursework. Candidates looking to continue their education beyond the Masters level can apply for the Doctoral Program (PhD).

Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) in Dependable Software Systems
The MEL in Dependable Software Systems is a professional degree for engineers who want to excel and drive innovation in this rapidly evolving field. This hybrid master’s program combines graduate-level engineering courses with business courses.
