Principles, design, and applications of optical imaging and spectroscopy. Confocal/multiphoton microscopy for 3D high-resolution cell/tissue imaging. Optical coherence tomography for real-time tissue imaging. Photoacoustic tomography for blood vessel imaging. Spectroscopy for non-invasive detection of molecules/materials. Light interaction with biological systems. Credit will only be given for one of ELEC 524 or EECE 535.This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
