Eddie is a product of this ECE department, having graduated from its PhD program in 2013. Since then, he’s spent time at Imperial College London as a post-doc, previously led an EDA startup through to acquisition as Invionics’ Director of R&D, and currently consults for clients in the area of FPGA tooling. His research has been recognized by a number of best paper awards at international IEEE and ACM conferences, some of which he now serves as a member of the program committee. Eddie is a strong believer in the democratizing nature of open-source technologies — desiring to tear down the walled-garden surrounding silicon design automation to fully enable unfettered (and unpredictable!) innovation.
