Souradeep Dutta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia. Before joining UBC he was a postdoctoral researcher at the PRECISE center in University of Pennsylvania. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, and B.E in Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering from Jadavpur University, India.
His research interests are in artificial intelligence, cyber-physical systems, and formal methods. With applications in robotics, and medical devices. He focuses on fundamental problems in machine-learning which stems from learning efficiently from data and assurance techniques on the learnt model. Souradeep’s publication venues include top tier conferences ICLR, CORL, HSCC, ICCPS, ICAPS, NFM, L4DC, CHASE, ADHS and CMSB. His work has been recognized with awards at different top-tier conferences. He has served in the program committee and as a reviewer for conferences such as AAAI, ATVA, DESTION, EMBC, ICCPS, ICML, L4DC, LMCS, NEURIPS, NFM, NSV, and RV.
