If your TA position is your first employment appointment at UBC, you will receive an email with instructions on how to link your Employee ID to your Campus Wide Login (CWL). This is an important step that will allow you to access online features such as paystubs and annual T4s. It will also allow us to grant you access to Canvas (for online course material), the Faculty Service Centre (for class lists and to upload grades) and the Student Evaluation of Teaching (SEOT) system.
How to add an Employee Student Number to your CWL account
Once you receive the email, please email email@example.com. Our HR department will provide you with your employee ID. You will need to call 604-822-2008 for verification before you can gain access to Canvas as a Teaching Assistant. If you have a problem, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is important that TAs maintain their existing CWL and DO NOT create a new CWL as this may cause them access issues.
