Christine Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UBC. Prior to joining UBC, she earned her BASc degree in Engineering Science (Electrical Option) from the University of Toronto in 2009. She then received her MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Her research focuses on control and operation of electric power systems, with an emphasis on renewable integration. Christine has served on the editorial boards of the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, and IEEE PES Letters.
