Congratulations to ECE’s Dr. Mahsa Talebpourazad
Dr. Mahsa Talebpourazad was one of 12 finalists for the Innovation Challenge Award. She received honourable mention and a prize of $1,200 for her development of software which converts 2D television content into a 3D format. Dr. Talebpourazad’s entrepreneurial disposition is one of the key elements NSERC looks for in this competition.
The Innovation Challenge Award is presented by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). NSERC holds an annual competition calling on young Canadian researchers to submit their innovative research designs. Using their knowledge in their field, they apply their research to real-world situations. This results in novel and ground-breaking designs which help to further Canada’s quality of life and help strengthen our economy.
