ECESS tours Silicon Valley

The UBC Electrical and Computer Engineering Student Society (ECESS) visited the Silicon Valley this past reading break. Their second annual trip down to San Francisco, students got to learn about exciting job opportunities and new technological advances from companies such as Leap Motion, Salesforce, Facebook, Google, Agilent, VMWare, Zynga, AVG Anti-Virus, and Linkedin. Each company had their own unique workspaces and different work cultures. Students had the chance to see all of these, and also develop their professional networks.

The Silicon Valley has a fast-paced work environment unlike Vancouver, says ECESS President Nate Leung – it is definitely something you must experience for yourself.
