IEEE’s Vehicular Technology Conference brings together individuals from academia, government, and industry to discuss and exchange ideas in the fields of wireless, mobile, and vehicular technology. In 2014, Professor Michelson and Telus CTO Ibrahim Gedeon worked together to Co-Chair the conference held in Vancouver.
The industry outreach program was especially effective and brought in over one hundred engineers and managers from Metro Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest to participate in a special industry track concerning 5G wireless, autonomous and connected vehicles, and electric vehicles and automotive EMC. For their efforts Dave Michelson and Irahim Gedeon received the prestigious Conference Leadership Award.
