Congratulations to Professor Dave Michelson on his election as the Chair of the Wavefront Wireless Commercialization Centre’s Academic Advisory Board and to a seat on Wavefront’s Board of Directors. During his two-year term, Prof. Michelson and his team will help Wavefront develop and execute a strategy for helping universities connect with the wireless industry and commercialize innovative wireless technology developed by their faculty and students.
Prof. Michelson played a key role in the effort that led to Wavefront’s designation as a not-for-profit National Centre of Excellence for the Commercialization of Wireless Technology in 2010. Wavefront accelerates the growth and success of wireless companies in Canada by improving speed-to-market and delivery of mobile applications and devices and by providing emerging companies with a suite of WaveGuide™ training, mobile industry advisory services, incubation office space and testing resources. Wavefront also helps to facilitate commercial engagement between the mobile ecosystem (mobile operators, platform providers, device manufacturers), enterprise companies and the innovative developers in Canada and Pacific Northwest.
